Sartorio, Virgilio Guidi (1981-1984) matured independently, starting with his reflections on the artistic style of Piero della Francesca and Giotto. The artist began to exhibit his works in 1915, when he was invited to participate in the Secession Exhibition in Rome. After that, he began to participate in all the most important art exhibitions in Italy, like the Biennial exhibitions in Rome and Venice, the Quadriennial in Rome and the exhibitions of the Sindacato Belle Arti in Lazio. As a result, he played a vitally important role in 20th-century art. The new book presents all the artworks recently attributed to Virgilio Guidi, thus updating the great monograph in three volumes published by Electa in 1997.
