Summary: The monographic theme of talks and communications that are collected in this book deals with architects’ drawing book, which is structured in three thematic work and discussion sessions : The first session collects some works about “The Drawing of the Real Trip” which is the drawing mode of study trips or architects’ works. The critical match to an architect’s work demands several contemplation strategies by the traveller: pictures, notes, data collection, feedbacks, letters and short stories. The second session collects works related to “The Drawing of the Imaginary Trip” and includes some contributions that have reference to previous trips’ experience. Those which project drawings based on memories and evocations and those which refer to the drawings of imaginary trips just real, as for example in literature. In this manner, without having physically moved, you can travel and draw. The third and last session deals with the contributions of “The Drawing of the Trip in Teaching Architecture”, which refer to the drawing of the trip as a product of study tour that many architecture teachers do in any moment of their training as architects.
