Starting from a nucleus of works by artists linked in various ways to the history of Castello di Rivoli, the research expands by looking at artists who, in the near past, have proven, through their work, to be crucial in the formation of newer generations. Among these, just to name a few, we find leading figures from the world of art such as Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Paul Klee, Giacomo Balla, Giorgio Morandi, Mario Merz, Osvaldo Licini and Renato Guttuso next to major contemporary figures including William Kentridge, Matt Mullican, Francis Al˙s, Hanne Darboven, Matthew Barney and Robin Rhode.
